**Update**

It has been a long time since I've posted a blog and much has been happening!



After moving into the new house, we adopted a little girl from the Lawrence Humane Society. Bailey is a mix of Husky and German Short-hair. She is a big little girl with a lot of energy. Brodie and her get along wonderfully. Our family is growing!!

Tyler is still with Douglas County Corrections and loving it! We think he has found his calling and his career. He is excited about the many opportunities that are available for him. He is hoping to join the DCT team and become deputized down the road. He hasn't been this happy with his job in a long time!!

As for me, I completed my first semester of student teaching in kindergarten. It was amazing!! I had a wonderful mentor and a great group of kiddos. In my final semester, I have been placed in a fourth grade classroom. It is quite an adjustment!! I have been working with the kids for 3-4 weeks now and am finally getting into the groove. They aren't the same as the kindergarteners! Tyler and I are both eagerly anticipating my graduation this May from ESU. It has been a long time coming!! The job search has begun and it is looking grim due to the economy. There are not many openings right now and with the many budget cuts being made, there may not be any more. I'll keep you all posted!
